Nature trail into the wild reindeer kingdom

If you need a break or want to stretch your legs, a hike to the viewpoint Rjuven is recommended.

The picnic spot at Håheller is located in the protected area. From there you can walk onto the nature trail and get a glimpse of the wild reindeer mountains. This is the home of Europe's southernmost wild reindeer population, consisting of approximately 3,500 individuals.

The trail is well marked from the picnic spot via the viewpoint, about halfway, and back to the starting point. There are signs with information about the local nature, landscape and wildlife. At Rjuven, you get a magnificent view of the lake Roskreppfjorden and the surrounding mountains. Maybe you spot some wild reindeer or other wildlife in the distance. Remember to bring your binoculars.

The 2-km nature trail has been prepared by the Board of the SVR Protected Landscape. It has an initial ascent of about 100 metres, and the walk takes up to one hour. Solid footwear is recommended.
