Bratt friluftsliv - Via ferrata guiding

Nomelandsfjellet is the prominent mountain wall you can see from central Valle. For a number of years this has been a popular mountaineering spot, and now it has been adapted for people without previous climbing experience. A via ferrata has been set up, where you are secured to a steel wire all the way to the top, and with iron rungs serving as a ladder.

This via ferrata has some of the longest smooth rock sections in Northern Europe. The route is long, has a substantial difference in elevation and a wonderful panoramic view. It is also challenging, with various levels of difficulty in the respective sections. It contains smooth rock as well as bigwall and cliffs.

The route has a length of 850 meters and a vertical height of 400 metres. When reaching the top, you are rewarded with a feeling of accomplishment, and, if desired, a refreshing shower from a cliff or a dip in the small lake close by. The descent from the mountain is on a path to Honnevje, a popular picnic area and swimming spot. The first kilometre of the path is fairly steep. Central Valle is within walking distance from Honnevje.
