Limagarden is situated in beautiful nature, in the county of Gjesdal, next to Limavatnet (Lima lake). The farm was in the same family from 1540 up until recently, when the last generation to inherit the farm, decided to give it the county. The farm consists of a small house and several outbuildings. The interiors of the farmhouse have been preserved and on the second floor there is a collection of historical objects. Jærmuseet runs the farm as a museum and it is open to visitors in the summer.
