With the chairlift, you quickly reach the top without much effort. From the top of Storenos (1183 meters above sea level), you get a great view of the mountain range. If the weather is good, you can see all the way to Hardangervidda.
On foot in summer/autumn: From the top, there is a marked trail that goes north to a viewpoint located a few hundred meters from the chairlift’s exit. The trail is marked in blue. From the viewpoint, you can choose to continue on the blue-marked trail towards Støylsskarnuten. There, you have the option to follow the red-marked trail on a cart road down to Hovden or to continue on the path into the mountains to the Sloaros tourist cabin.
You can also follow a short blue-marked trail from the viewpoint down to Hovden, or take the gravel road that goes directly down between the ski slopes under the lift. There are three bike trails in the facility, and bikes can be transported up with the lift.
In summer/autumn, the lift is open daily during the high season and on Saturdays between the summer and autumn holidays.
In strong winds or forecasted thunderstorms, the lift will be closed.
